We started this blog after a group of us got talking about how we believed that Commission Junction wasn’t treating us fairly. We all knew of cases where people’s income had dropped drastically when a merchant had moved its programme from another affiliate network to CJ. We also knew of instances where friends or family had bought something using our links but CJ never recognised these transactions nor paid the commissions due.

A quick search on the Internet proved that we weren’t alone. There were potentially thousands of dissatisfied CJ affiliates out there. You might ask: well, why not just leave CJ? Mainly I guess because, despite CJ’s failure to pay all commissions due, some people do actually make money as CJ affiliates. But there’s the principle of the thing too. Are you happy doing business with people you don’t trust?

We decided to do something to improve our situation – so here we are.

We realise that complaining to CJ is a pointless exercise. However, it may be worth complaining to the merchants who use CJ and encouraging them to use other affiliate networks instead.
